With a clear passion for providing care from a young age, Chelsea received her initial CPR & First Aid certification from The YMCA at the age of 11. At age 19, she became a full time nanny, first on the peninsula and then further North in Marin County. She pursued her Early Childhood Education degree at College of Marin while nannying, graduating with a specialty with infants and toddlers in 2014 and immediately jumping in to teaching at local Reggio Emilia inspired centers. Her final stop before finding her way to doula work was a multi-year tenure at GeoKids Preschool (NAEYC accredited) in Menlo Park, where she worked on the infant and toddler teaching teams.

With the pandemic shaking life's plans up a bit, Chelsea pivoted and thought long and hard about how she could continue working with children and families by sharing her skills and passion, and doula work began to call to her. She finished two trainings in less than six months, becoming certified and able to accept many fertility insurances. It was off to the races at that point!

What Chelsea loves most about postpartum care and being there for birthing folx and families in the fourth trimester is the intimacy and vulnerability it presents. She believes that there is something magical and spiritual especially about overnight visits, cherishing the quiet moments supporting lactation, processing birthing stories, and simply holding space for what may emerge.
